Who we are and what this covers

CazzyFooty organises casual football in and around Norwich. We run games ourselves: we book and pay for the pitch, bring the kit, fill the teams and take payment. Your job is to turn up and play. Players can also create and run their own games on CazzyFooty — see Organising your own game.

These terms are an agreement between you and CazzyFooty. By creating an account, joining a game as a guest, or paying for a game, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy.

Using CazzyFooty

• You must be 16 or over. If you are 16 or 17, you confirm that a parent or guardian knows you are taking part.
• Give us accurate details — a real name other players will recognise and an email address that works — so we can reach you about a game.
• With an account: one account each, and keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in. You can close your account from your settings. Closing it cancels your places in games that have not kicked off, refunded as if you had cancelled each one yourself. If you are organising a game that is not over, cancel or delete it first — see Organising your own game.
• As a guest: you can join a game without an account. We give you a private link to manage your place. Anyone who has that link can view and cancel your place, so keep it to yourself; if you lose it, email info@cazzyfooty.com.
• Book places only for yourself. Everyone who plays needs their own place.

Joining a game

Before you join, each game's page shows the date and kick-off time, the venue and pitch, the format, the ability level, how many places are left, the price per player, and how long before kick-off you can cancel for free.

Your place is booked only once your payment has gone through (or, for a free game, once you have confirmed it) and we have shown you that you are in. We do not hold a place while you pay, so if the last place goes in the meantime we will refund your payment in full automatically.

Some games are run on the day by another club or group, whose name is shown on the game's page. We still take the booking and the payment, and these terms still apply.

Some games are organised by another player, and the game's page says so. The organiser books the pitch and runs the game; we take the booking and the payment, and these terms still apply to you in full. If the organiser cancels the game before it is played, you get your money back in full.

A place can be kept for you. A game's organiser, or CazzyFooty, may keep a place for your email address and send you a private link to it. Nobody puts you in a game: nothing is booked until you take the place up and, if the game is paid, pay for it in the usual way. You can say no instead. A kept place is held for you only until the time shown, and then goes back on sale. Anyone with the link can take the place up or give it back, so keep it to yourself.

You can be taken out of a game, and blocked from a game organiser's games. Before kick-off, a game's organiser or CazzyFooty may remove you from a game; if you paid, you are refunded in full, whatever the cancellation cutoff. A removal can be for that game only, after which you are free to join it again if a place is left, or it can block you: blocked by an organiser you cannot join any game that organiser runs, and blocked by CazzyFooty you cannot join any game at all, until the block is lifted. A block does not take away places you already hold, and does not close your account. Nothing emails you about a removal or a block. If you think one is a mistake, email info@cazzyfooty.com.

Join coupons. An organiser, or CazzyFooty, may give you a join coupon: a link that takes an amount off the price of one paid game, up to the whole price. It works once, for the first person to use it, until the time shown, and it does not keep a place for you. If you cancel a place you joined with a coupon, the refund is based on what you actually paid, and the coupon cannot be used again.

Teams are picked on the day. We try to make them fair, but the split is our call.

Paying

Prices are per player, per game, in pounds sterling, and are shown before you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. We may change the price of future games, but never the price of a place you have already paid for.

Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel your place yourself, up until kick-off, from the game's manage page. What you get back depends on when you cancel:

• Before the free-cancellation cutoff — a full refund. The cutoff is shown on each game's page; it is usually 6 hours before kick-off.
• After the cutoff — you still get a refund, less a 50p late-cancellation fee, because by then it is much harder to fill your place. The fee is never more than you paid, and there is no fee on a free game.
• After kick-off, or if you do not turn up — the place can no longer be cancelled and there is no refund.

If we cancel a game, or its organiser does, you get your money back in full, whatever the reason — weather, the pitch falling through, or too few players. If we or the organiser take you out of a game before kick-off, you also get your money back in full, with no late-cancellation fee. If we make a significant change to a game you have paid for, such as its date, time or venue, and it no longer suits you, tell us and we will refund you in full.

Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with and usually take five to ten working days to reach you, depending on your bank.

Because a game is a leisure service for a specific date and time, the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply. The cancellation rights above are what you get instead.

Organising your own game

Anyone with a CazzyFooty account can create a game and run it. If you do, you are that game's organiser, and you are bound by these terms — all of them, and this section in particular. You agree to them each time you create a game.

What you are responsible for

• Booking and paying for the pitch, and following the venue's rules.
• Describing the game accurately: its date, time, place, format, level and price, and anything you say you will provide, such as bibs and balls.
• Turning up and running the game as described.
• Deciding who plays. Before kick-off you can take a player out of your game; everyone you remove who paid is refunded in full, whatever the cancellation cutoff, and nothing is paid out to you for their place. You can remove them from that game only, or block them from every game you run until you lift it — see being taken out of a game. Use it for behaviour, not to pick who you like; we may lift a block and may stop you organising if you misuse it. You cannot add anyone to a game — you can keep a place for someone, or give them a join coupon, and they join themselves.
• Only keeping places for people who want them, and using their email address only to keep a place for them.
• Telling your players about any change yourself — we do not email them. If you change the date, time or place after people have joined and it no longer suits someone, they can cancel for a full refund.
• Any tax due on the money you receive.
• Staying until your game is over: you cannot close your CazzyFooty account while you are organising a game that has not been played. Cancel it (everyone who paid is refunded in full) or, if nobody has joined, delete it first.

Money

• Your players pay through CazzyFooty, on the same terms as for any other game, including the late-cancellation fee.
• CazzyFooty takes a 1.5% fee on the total funds made from a match — what your players paid, less anything refunded to them. Stripe's card processing fees on those payments, including payments that were later refunded, also come out of your share.
• Funds are paid out from Stripe after the match is over. We start your payout 24 hours after the game's scheduled end, and Stripe sends it on to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. Late-cancellation fees kept from your players are part of the funds.
• Join coupons reduce the funds. A player who joins with a coupon pays less, or nothing, and only what they paid counts towards the funds — whether you gave the coupon out or we did.
• To be paid you need a Stripe account, which you set up through CazzyFooty. Stripe checks your identity and holds your bank details, and Stripe's Connected Account Agreement applies to it. You cannot charge players until it is set up; free games need no Stripe account.

Cancelling your game

• You can cancel your game from its manage page up until kick-off.
• Cancelling your game before it is played entitles every player who paid to a full refund, whenever they joined. We refund them automatically, and nothing is paid out to you for that game.
• You cannot cancel a game yourself after kick-off. If something went wrong, email us.

When we step in

If a game does not go ahead as described, or its organiser breaks these terms, we may cancel it and refund its players in full — before or after its scheduled time — and hold back the organiser's payout. If we have to refund players after a payout has been made, we may ask the organiser to pay it back. We may take players out of an organiser's game (refunding them in full), keep places in it and give join coupons for it. We may also remove a game, or stop someone organising games, for any of the reasons under Suspending or closing an account.

On the day

These are friendly games. Turn up on time, play fairly, respect the other players and the venue, and follow the venue's own rules. Where a game says kit is provided, look after it and hand it back at the end.

We may remove anyone from a game — without a refund — for violence, threats, abuse, discrimination, being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or damaging a venue, and in serious cases we will involve the police.

Football is a physical game

You take part at your own risk. By joining a game you confirm you are fit enough to play and have no medical condition that makes it unsafe for you; if in doubt, ask a doctor first. Bring your own suitable footwear, and shin pads or any other protection you want to wear.

Suspending or closing an account

We may suspend or close an account, or refuse future bookings, if someone breaks these terms — including repeatedly not turning up to games they have booked. We will tell you why. If we close your account when you have done nothing wrong, we will refund any game you have paid for and not yet played.

What we are and are not responsible for

We will run our games with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for:

• injuries that come from the ordinary risks of playing football;
• anything of yours that is lost, stolen or damaged at a venue;
• the behaviour of other players, including a player who organises a game;
• a venue's facilities, or a venue's decision to close a pitch (in which case the game is cancelled and you are refunded, as above);
• losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.

Otherwise, if we are liable to you, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the game in question.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page when we do, and tell you about any significant change. A change will never alter the terms of a place you have already paid for.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
